Clay Shirky To Speak At PSFK CONFERENCE NYC 2012 @PSFK

On March 30, 2012, we will be hosting our sixth annual PSFK CONFERENCE NYC celebrating and sharing new ideas. Since 2007, the PSFK conference series has catered to creative professionals from around the world, exploring the latest trends, inspirations, and ideas. PSFK brings together the world?s leading creative thinkers with both established and emerging business leaders to bring to life the conversations that take place daily on PSFK.com.

Our conferences offer a diverse program of speakers with backgrounds in art, technology, design, marketing, and media, creating an environment where disparate ideas can come together in new ways to fuel work that changes the world for the better. We set an agenda that allows participants to meet and discuss with one another, together sharing and building upon the ideas that emerge onstage.

NYU?s ITP program is widely recognized as one of the key drivers of the city?s creativity. We write about the work of the alumni regularly on PSFK.com and so we are excited about professor and internet guru Clay Shirky speaking at our event.

Clay Shirky is a writer, consultant and teacher on the social and economic effects of Internet technologies. He has a joint appointment at New York University (NYU) as a Distinguished Writer in Residence at the Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute and Assistant Arts Professor in the New Media focused graduate Interactive Telecommunications Program (ITP). His courses address, among other things, the interrelated effects of the topology of social networks and technological networks, how our networks shape culture and vice-versa.
