Rowley Historical Society seeks cookbook recipes
ROWLEY ? The Rowley Historical Society is collecting recipes for a new 2014 publication of its 1994 cookbook.
The publication will be an updated version of the earlier book with many new additions. The new book will not only feature tried and true recipes from Rowley citizens, but also remembrances and anecdotes to complement each recipe. Plus, only recipes from the 1994 Rowley Historical Society Cookbook that were submitted by members who have passed away will be included.
Historical society members say the project is intended to keep the group?s past alive and always present in its current and future activities in Rowley.
The group is seeking recipes in all categories to include in the new edition, with submissions for appetizers, salads, soups, main dishes, breads, desserts, cakes, cookies, drinks and punches, relishes and candy welcome. Those submitting recipes should include their name and telephone number or email in case there are questions.
Recipes can be dropped off at the office of Town Clerk Sue Hazen at Rowley Town Hall, e-mailed to mcmahon9@verizon.net or sent to Diane McMahon, in care of Rowley Historical Society, 233 Main St., Rowley 01969.
