Community Garden Spring Resource Fair

Gardening Matters is bringing their resource fair to Saint Paul this year ? at the Neighborhood House on March 31st!

Mississippi Market is excited to be sponsoring the Gardening Matters Spring Resource Fair on March 31st at the Neighborhood House this year. The theme of the fair this year is ?Nourishing Neighborhoods, Connecting Communities? and is?an excellent chance to meet other gardeners and gardening organizations from around the metro area, glean what resources and opportunities are available to community gardens, and cultivate some new horticultural and organizational skills.

Workshops will include Engaging Youth in the Garden, Food swaps & co-ops, Growing abundantly in small spaces, and many, many more. Click here to see the full listing.

This year?s Keynote Speaker will be Karen Washington, an active urban farmer, is president of the New York City Community Garden? Coalition and founding member of Black Urban Growers (BUGs). With over 20 years of experience working in New York City, Karen has developed abandoned lots into successful community? gardens and food initiatives.

You can pre-register & view the day?s agenda prior to the fair to help the event organizers get?everyone through the doors faster! The keynote will start promptly at 9:30am, doors open at 9:00am.
